Weebiz – a business fair or a social network for companies?

The question arises once you start getting familiarized with Weebiz and with everything that it allows its users to do, at https://www.weebiz.com. Is this thing an online business fair or a social network exclusive for companies? In a word: both.

This online platform is the only known service merging social network capabilities with business expo opportunities. It works because it was built to allow the junction of those two distinct dimensions from the beginning.

The information contained in a Weebiz profile goes from general presentation (logo; slogan; contacts; location and industry) to the most particular and specific contents (products with images, description and prices; news; business proposal; connections and interactions with the community; current status and latest activity). All of these contents are editable at all time and immediately updated, with no approval period required. When a company creates content on Weebiz the entire community gets the chance to see it.

An algorithm-based recommendation system advises similar companies, products and other contents to the user in order for its decisions to be more weighted.

If a member is not fully convinced about other member’s interest to his company he can simply follow that member’s activity and decide afterwards. This action does not requires acceptance from the other part.

It shouldn’t take long for a recent user to realize the major differences between Weebiz and business trade websites. This is a business network, so members (companies) can interact with each other as individuals do on social networks: they can follow, connect, share, like, comment and tell the entire community what it is they are doing.

Of course members can also communicate privately. This is assured by a message system – an integrated mail with threaded conversations and attachments through which members contact each other, without having the entire community knowing the subject or content of the conversations.

It’s our great pleasure to introduce the new Weebiz features. These are some of the things we’ve been working on to help your company succeed.

Coworkers

Our focus has always been the “Company”. However, there is no company without a workforce. Enter your coworkers. You can now invite your employees and fellow coworkers to help you manage your presence on Weebiz. This is especially useful if you want to take full advantage of the Business Manager functionality.

The topbar

We have a new top bar, cleaner, more useful.

On the right hand side you have a dropdown menu to quickly access your settings.

You can access your account preferences, your edit profile page, subscription and company settings and if you belong to more than one company on Weebiz, you can easily change between them.

Inbox

We made some changes to the inbox, mostly under the hood. Some improvement was made on the message thread handling and basic support for attachments was added. We’re going to keep working on the inbox in order to have it be your main tool for making contact inside the community.

Business Manager

Our business management solution just keeps getting better. No other service offers a tool as complete as the BM for free.

A tool like this is by nature a collaborative ground, and now with support for multiple users you can take the most out of it. Keep tabs on who and when creates and updates content; follow user activity on the Business Manager dashboard and easily assign work.

Profile Customization

Improve your company’s profile with a new simple feature that makes all the difference.

Customize the look of your profile with a background image or a different color and stand out in the community.

Weebiz Plans

Since the beginning our goal has been to supply the tools for your company to find others, to connect, to interact with the peers around you and all over the world.

We are very excited with the growth of our community and it’s an honor to keep delivering the Weebiz experience and improving on it. The new free account limits were thought mainly so that malicious users could not abuse the system and disrupt our community. Almost all of Weebiz features are there, but need some consideration for taking the best out of them.

If you only have 5 messages per month, you better make sure they are well thought out and sent to the right members. If you have limited content, you will make it your best content.

We believe this is a good and fair way of discouraging abuse.

The Overhauld Weebiz Homepage

Now that Weebiz homepage includes featured Members, Products and Proposals, the B2B Global Community becomes even more attractive to the ones who visit us. We’ve implemented this new space right in the middle of the first page that visitors see so that they can get a more profound knowledge of what Weebiz is all about.
We want them to be able to make their own personal tour, searching for business opportunities in their industries and finding what Weebiz can do for their companies.

But we’ve done this change mainly because by offering visitors the possibility to wander around the B2B community we hope that the greater benefit comes to our members: since the promotion of products, proposals and contacts is now visible to each and every visitor, instead of reaching only the Weebiz community, the chances for receiving enquires is bigger now. This depends of course on the level of interest that Weebiz Member’s profiles are able to generate.

It’s crucial to have this care present at all time – a profile as complete as possible in terms of products, business proposal and company information, with attractive images and updated content is much more likely to catch visitors and members attention than a profile lacking info about what it is a that a company does. Bottom line, attention to details is as essential on Weebiz as it is on your own street.
